...has my little blog gone?
Did you know it's not September anymore?!? (The month that I last posted) It's not even 2008 anymore! I have all sorts of good reasons why I have not posted; annoying internet issues, 10 house guests for 5 weeks, a trip to Utah, Christmas, life as a single mom due to high school soccer season (Tim is a referree), house hunting...oh yeah, and we had a baby! I know I owe you all pictures, but I really don't have that kind of time right now. We currently havc a sick 18 month old and a sick 4 week (today!) old baby. And it seems as though it's my turn to start getting it too. :/ But just so that you all know that we have not fallen off the face of the earth, I thought I'd post a quick blog. So here it is. :) I'll do the whole Seth statistics later and maybe even some pictures, but for now, I think I have a little girl to pin down and wipe her nose.
Hope you all are staying healthy. :)

Life here has been busy. Probably no more than normal, but we have had a lot of milestones in the past few weeks. I mentioned that Isaiah is potty trained and that Joanna has weaned, but I forgot to say that Joanna turned ONE! (actually now 13 months), is walking on her own, and adding to her signing and vocabulary, Isaiah is now a Cubbie and loving it. We've taken trips to the Long Beach Aquarium and the local fair that should have some good pictures to share. I'm just really behind on the blogging thing. I will have to try to get those up before Isaiah's third birthday!
We had our ultrasound and normal check up yesterday and they went well. This little one was very cooperative but also moved quite a bit for both the ultrasound and check up. It wasn't an issue, the ultrasound tech and my OB did get a laugh out of it though. Really, are there any babies that don't react to things invading their space? Seemed pretty normal to me. Anyway, all is well with our newest Ferrill. :)
And do you want to guess if we will be dressing with bows or ball caps?

Picture Link
Also, my wonderful friend/our kids photographer has been doing a great job at taking pictures for us. :) And she even posts them!
Here's a link to one of her posts where you will even find me in some of the pictures.

Super Quick Post
Just so you all know, I am planning on posting soon. I've started blogs a few times now and well, haven't quite finished. But to hold you over until I get a chance to really make a decent post, here's a really quick one to tell you the latest here.
Isaiah is potty trained! He's doing a great job and really made it easy. :)
Joanna is weaned! She also made this easy. :)
We bought a minivan. I like it...a lot. The kids and Tim do too.
I have a doctor's appointment on Friday. We should get to get a peek at our little one then and perhaps find out which way to pick a name. We would know by now if I hadn't had a brain malfunction and messed up my appointment. *eye twitching* Apparently I looked at last month's card. *sigh* But at least they were able to reschedule us for this week.
So lots of big things happening here and I will post after the doctor's appointment tomorrow. And I may even tell you the gender! :D

Picture Post
Joanna enjoying her first taste of watermelon on the Fourth of July.
Isaiah with his Big Stick popcicle. He really liked it. Mommy didn't care for the mess he made of that outfit...
This is from the Fourth of July weekend.
Joanna at our play day with friends.
The kids with the balls.
Isaiah trying to figure out hot to brew some coffee.
Joanna trying to figure out how to get up the slide.

Catching Up
My apologies to anyone who uses this blog to keep up with our little family. I haven't been writing as often as I'd like, or should.
We've already had our second OB appointment. That was on June 24th. It went well. Our official due date is February 8, 2009. :) VBS has come and gone. I think everyone really enjoyed themselves again this year. I think it's hard for Tim to not be as involved as he once was and I understand that. We had some friends come stay with us the following weekend for the Fourth of July. We had lots of fun! Isaiah is still talking about his friends, fireworks and the sparklers he got to try for the first time. Monday was my birthday. Tim always tries so hard to make it special. But what do you do with a very picky pregnant lady who is still having good days and bad? (And let's not even get into how emotional she can get...poor guy) We finally decided (at about 6 o'clock at night) to take a roughly 45 minute drive to a restaurant that I've always wanted to go to, http://www.theodysseyrestaurant.com/index.html. It was wonderful! The drive was not bad. The kids did very well. Our server was really sweet. Our food was great, including the desserts. The prices were very reasonable. In fact, Isaiah had a huge grilled cheese sandwich, with more fries than some teenage boys could eat, a cool cup with an even cooler straw and a cup of vanilla ice cream with a swirl of (I think) strawberry flavoring...all for 5.95! We were very impressed. Mine was a bit more on the pricey side, but comparable to other restaurants. One of the best parts, was the view. If you check out the link, you'll see what I mean. They also had a fish pond which the kids loved. Joanna and I took a little tour of the outside grounds during a restless moment for her. It was a very good birthday. You did a wonderful job again, Tim! :)
And then...Isaiah became sick on Tuesday. I took him to his Pediatrician on Wednesday and thankfully, it is only a virus and not strep throat. The bummer is that he had the same thing less than two months ago. So we took him to our Chiropractor on Thursday to see if he could give us any insight into what was causing it and he could not. He did tell us a few things that might help clear it up faster and they seem to be working. Isaiah hasn't had Tylenol since about 4 in the afternoon yesterday and his fever is gone. He also seems to really be getting back to himself too. We're also thankful that he was the only one to get sick and we're praying it stays that way.
So that's life in our home right now. Sorry again for taking so long to post. And I know, I owe y'all some pictures. Maybe I'll do that tonight while Tim is at soccer. I think Isaiah should probably stay home, just in case.
Have a great weekend!

First OB Appointment and other things
We had our first OB appointment yesterday and got an ultrasound done to try to determine our due date. However, we are too early on in the pregnancy and baby is too small to be seen as of yet. So I have another appointment scheduled for two weeks, with just the ultrasound tech. It should be a quick thing and I'm looking forward to it. :)
Isaiah has decided to give potty training a try. I think he's only in it for the jelly beans and sticker book, but he does seem to be rather proud of himself. He also is climbing a lot lately and let's just say he is just as graceful as his Mommy. ;)
Joanna is doing more things everyday! She has learned to "dance" at the sound of music or the word, shakes her head (and shoulders) no, is trying to stand on her on, cruising, contemplating walking and has learned "please" in sign language. I'm excited that's she's trying new foods as well! I'm determined to nurse her to a year (which is less than two months away! AH!) however, I wouldn't mind if she were eating more solids by then.
You all are probably wondering about Tim. He is doing well. Splash Kingdom (the summer program for our children's ministry at church) is starting up and also Vacation Bible School. He is really looking forward to VBS. (I'm looking forward to him being home early that whole week!) He has been playing futsal at one of our Parks and Rec. on Friday nights. It's similar to indoor, but don't ask me details because I really don't know much about soccer at all. He won't be able to play for the next few weeks, though, because our Friday nights are getting booked up.
I know I need to get some new pictures up soon. I really need to borrow some from my friend, Jessica. She has some great ones of the kids. I'm not sure when I can get them from her though since she's working at a Christian camp for the summer. Great for her, but now my life is a bit boring. Or at least lacking in adult conversation anyway. :) Anyway, I'll try not to make too many excuses and get some pictures of the kids up soon. Maybe, if I try really hard and am really sneaky, I can get some of the husband too. :)
